So these birds build a pretty nice one bedroom bird condo in a tree in the front yard. I'm taking votes on whether I should knock it down or not? The economy is tough, I may have to open up the nest and get the eggs, could make a tasty omelet? or should I just leave it alone?
I installed this gravel "D" in the front yard, which obviously stands for "don't" break in and steal from this house. I'm feeling much safer already thanks to the "D".
A quick update on the orange tree... The only orange growing on the tree fell off this morning, not even as big as a quarter yet, very very sad.
And the backyard is becoming even more dangerous, with toxic mushrooms. I may have to go out and buy some golf clubs, since the mushrooms are about the size of a golf ball complete with its own tee. I could spend a nice evening smacking these things into the neighbors yard.
Yes those are Oleander plants struggling to survive, very poisonous, so next time you're at the house, please don't eat any of the leaves. It wasn't my idea to plant them, I was just following "orders". 
These plants however are bottlebrushes, and you can feel free to eat them.
The fake grass can be eaten as well, there are 3 varieties as you can see, lots of choices... but when you're on a tight landscaping budget, you have to either steal stuff, or buy remnants of fake grass and put them together like a giant jigsaw puzzle, and not fun work either, so I don't recommend it...
I went hiking yesterday at Mt Charleston, about 30 Minutes from Vegas. Very hard to believe this is so close to the desert... it was 65 degrees at the mountain, and 100 in vegas, so it was a great escape from the heat... I convinced the bluebird in the picture to give my power bar a try. He loved it and seemed to be begging for more.. Then I gave him some Clif Bar, which he admitted to liking even more. After his tasty treat, he became very loud, singing, almost yelling, I guess he wasn't used to the big sugar rush? Its not like I gave him caffeine, so give me a break... Then we hiked to a waterfall, hard to tell in the picture, but there is a good stream of water coming down... on the way back to the car it was getting dark, and we saw tons of deer, the picture of the deer didn't turn out too well, just a little too dark.
